I don’t know about you, but I grew up watching Chevy Chase and his family first trek across the U.S. and then to Europe in the National Lampoon’s Vacation movies. As a kid, our family trips weren’t as outlandish as the movie versions, but there was always a good story to tell. I still believe the best part of family vacations are the memories that you create together when you travel.
First Family Trip to Europe – Family Trip Planning
Working with the Linder Family on their first family trip to Europe was an absolute joy. Jeff’s cousin was working in Rome at the time, so naturally Jeff and Sarah decided to take advantage of this great fortune and plan a trip to Italy to visit him. With their oldest daughter, McKennah, heading off to college at the end of the summer, the timing of this trip was perfect. Jeff and Sarah also decided to add an extension to Paris so their youngest daughter Eyde, could fulfill her dream of visiting the City of Light.

After working with the Linder family for some time, it just seemed natural to gift them with a set of matching berets of their very own – I knew they would appreciate the joke. You can imagine my delight when Jeff posted the family picture reenacting Chevy Chase and his family posing in front of the Eiffel tower. Best. Picture. Ever.
Of course the Linder’s had the cultural experiences in Paris of lingering in street side cafes, shopping in quaint French shops, and visiting the Mona Lisa. They also took the opportunity to put their own family spin on their trip to Paris. Props to McKennah and Eyde for agreeing to pose for this picture too. Not all teenagers would oblige. I hope my kids are this cool when they are teenagers!
